Taster day 2024
Members of CUSBC had a chance to try fullbore shooting at Barton Road Range.
This weekend, 24 members of our smallbore club braved the January weather to get a taste of fullbore shooting at Barton Road Range in Cambridge. They had a chance to shoot target rifle at 500 meters (a rather unusual distance that had us make some custom plot cards) followed by some match rifle at 1000 yards. We saw lots of good shooting, and look forward to kicking off the fullbore season with warmer weather and many new members with our training camp in March.
Thanks go to all our helpers: our incredibly fast markers, the range wardens, our committee for coaching, driving and cleaning rifles, and our RCO Mike without whom we would not have been able to shoot on an MoD range so close to home.
