Membership

Open to all members of Cambridge University

Start your fullbore season with CURA

CURA membership is open to all members of Cambridge University in statu pupillariwho have been deemed competent at smallbore shooting. Your membership form will also need to be signed by your tutor. Membership is currently £50 per year, excluding ammunition, and includes use of the club’s rifles, jackets, scopes and other equipment.

You do not need previous fullbore experience. New shooters can join our smallbore sister club CUSBC during Michaelmas and Lent to learn the basics before CURA’s fullbore season begins with the Easter Bisley training camp.

CURA can be the start of an exceptional sporting journey. Alice Good (GM), who first took up shooting with CURA, won HM The Queen’s Prize in 2022.

Questions about joining can be sent to secretary@curifle.org.uk.

Why CURA?

A welcoming route into competitive fullbore

Sporting excellence

CURA is one of Cambridge’s most successful sports clubs and still holds the record for the most consecutive Varsity victories. Many members go on to compete nationally and internationally.

03

A chance to compete

Team matches run throughout the fullbore season, leading to the Imperial Meeting and the Chancellors’ and Humphry Varsity matches. Many members achieve half-blue status each year.
