Handloading Extravaganza 2024
In preparation of a busy match rifle season, CURA gathered to handload thousands of rounds.
Ahead of the match rifle season, CURA headed down to Bisley for an introduction to handloading by James McCosh. Following the course, we got to solidify our skills by reloading over 3000 rounds of match rifle ammunition. Six of our members worked in two teams over two days to weigh over 9 kg of powder charges and seat 40 kg of bullets, alongside extensive quality checks to ensure our new ammunition batches are safe and accurate.
A massive thank you to James for all his help, wisdom and equipment, and to Tom Rylands for lending us his charge masters and priming countless cases to speed up the process significantly!
